Timothy Olyphant played in the second annual Mak Games Tennis Tournament on Sunday, October 12th. The tournament is hosted by the Mak Center for Art and Architecture.

The event was held at the home of Jimmy Goldstein. Built into a hillside in Benedict Canyon, it is a multi- level property connected by a set of hillside stairs and and outdoor pathways. The pathways lead visitors to an outside pool, guest bedrooms, outdoor patio sitting areas, and an art installation by light artist, James Turrell. The property also features a cement underground club.

Guests toured the property during an afternoon event presented by Brooks Brothers with special sponsor, Vanity Fair. Guests relaxed by the tennis courts, which is the newest addition to the property.

The Mak Games Tournament featured one match between a mixed pair of one celebrity and one pro. Timothy Olyphant was paired with pro, Nicole Gibbs. Their opponents were musician Gavin Rossdale and pro Lester Cook. At one point Olyphant shouted at a ref, who was ribbing him for falling behind in the match, “No ones cares what the score is!” This produced laughter from the crowd.

Rossdale and Cook ended up winning the match. The winner didn’t seem very important as the crowd was treated to beautiful scenery and the chance to support a good cause.
