If you have just recently discovered a love of Timothy Olyphant, then you will want to check out some of his movies. Olyphant is known for his quirky characters and choice of offbeat movies.
The movie “High Life” features Olyphant in a much different role than that of Raylan Givens. He plays the role of Dick, an ex con trying to put his life back together. His plans go off the rails when his sociopath former cellmate, Bug (Stephen Eric McIntyre),, shows up. His antics result in Dick losing his job as a hospital janitor.

The year is 1983. ATM machines are just being introduced. This inspires Dick to hatch a plan to rob one of the new machines. He enlists the help of Donnie (Joe Anderson) and Billy (Rossif Sutherland). Together the four hatch a plot.
Dick tells them the money will set them free. He insists there will be no violence.

Dick’s plans go horribly awry during the commission of the crime. His partners prove to be out of control and things quickly spin tragically yet hilariously out of control.
The movie is dark and funny at the same time. Olyphant gives a remarkable performance as the troubled Dick, an ex con who only wants a better life.
McIntyre is hysterical as the psycho, Bug. Olyphant’s frustration in trying to deal with his unmanageable crew is a delight to watch.
So, if you find yourself with nothing to do one summer evening, give “High Life” a look. You won’t be disappointed.
