This past week has been a stormy one. We have had wind, hail and a lot of rain. It has been the perfect time to stay inside and watch anything Timothy Olyphant.
My family is still adjusting to the loss of our beloved little Peanut. We are making her gravesite a little sanctuary. It is a work in progress right now. It will feature a fence, windchimes and some solar lights. I like to think Peanut will hear the peaceful tinkle of the windchimes and know how much we love and miss her.
On to Olyphantnews! Tim appeared on Conan last week. The two had their usual entertaining banter. Tim used Conan to demonstrate the difference between theater and film. I won’t give it away but the ladies will like it.
Olyphantalso talks about being married for 25 years, a great feat in Hollywood. I have to admire his dedication to his marriage.
They eventually get to the movie he is promoting, “Mother’s Day”which opened on April 29th. I was beginning to wonder if he was going to appear in the clip they played. Finally came in at the end. It seemed like a poor choice to me, more Anistonthan Olyphant.
If you didn’t get a chance to catch the show, check it out below.
Tim and Conan are friends and they always have a good time when Olyphantstops by the show. In the past Tim has shown up with whiskey to celebrate Justified. He dressed in shorts and flip flops prompting Conan to remark they thought he came by to fix the plumbing. You never know what these two will get up to next.
I apologize for getting behind on the blog. I have had a terrible time the last two weeks. We lost our beloved dog of eleven years, Peanut. Peanut came to us because she had a bad overbite and the breeder couldn’t sell her. The breeder happens to be the wife of a co-worker and she brought Peanut in one day in an effort to find her a home. I took one look at her and fell in love. She came home with me that day and she has been with me ever since. She died of heart failure on April 14th. Life is lonelier without her.
Olyphanthas been promoting his new film “Mother’s Day”. The film opens on Friday, April 29th. Tim plays Jennifer Aniston’s ex. He is remarried to a much younger woman played by Shay Mitchell. The films looks to be very entertaining. Great movie to share with Mom for Mother’s Day!
Tim has appeared on The Tonight Show and Today promoting “Mother’s Day”. He was scheduled to appear on Seth Meyersbut in a strange twist of fate, Meyers wife went into labor on the way to see “Hold On To Me Darling” and Tim’s appearance had to be cancelled.
In case you missed it, Olyphant appeared on The Tonight Show last week. He chatted about his family, telling Fallon a story about how none of his children knew the movie “Rocky”. They did not recognize the Rocky theme song. Tim immediately remedied the situation by taking them into the family room to view the movie.
I have some great news for my fellow Timothy Olyphant fans! Tim has signedon to a new series.
“Santa Clarita Diet” will starTimothy Olyphantand Drew Barrymore. The duo will
play husband and wife realtors. The two live slightly disconnected lives
until the wife undergoes a dramatic change which sends their lives down a
path of death and destruction … but in a good way.
Sounds intriguing right? I am thinking a black comedy. The show will
feature a single camera style.
Drew Barrymore andOlyphant will also serve as executive producers. Victor Fresco, series creator, will also be an executive producer.
Netflix VP or original content, Cindy Holland, had this to say, “Thegenius casting of Timothy and Drew combined with Victor’s unique comedicsensibility will delight, and definitely surprise, our members around the world.”
The show will appear on Netflix as a Netflix original series. It will
premiere in 2017.
If you haven’t got your Netflix subscription, you better get get to it!
Here’s hoping “Santa Clarita Diet’ is another great series for Olyphant.
Well I have made it hump day, Wednesday. I hope everyone is having a great week. My week has been typical chaos, trip to the vet, work and in between organizing the community Easter Egg Hunt. I look forward to my time working on the site. So let’s get to Mr. Olyphant.
Monday, March 7th was the Atlantic Theater’s Actor’s Choice Gala. The gala is the Atlantic Theater’s biggest fundraiser of the year. With tickets at $1000.00 a pop it is a pricey event.
The evening was filled with surprise musical numbers from various entertainers. Timothy Olyphantattended the event. He is currently starring in “Hold On To Me Darling” at the Atlantic Theater.
Timothy Olyphant looked particularly dapper in a dark blue suit with matching shirt. He even forsake his beloved scuffed brown boots for a pair of black dress shoes. He looked elegant!
Other attendees included Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Will Forte, T.R. Knight, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde among others. It was a star studded night at the Pierre.
The night also included packets up for auction. These were luxury packets which included trips to the wine country of Argentina, France and a desert oasis vacation.
Well I hope our man, Olyphant, had a good time. He has colored his hair because he believes that a huge star like Strings McCrane would never have gray in his hair. I miss the gray. I think it is super sexy. How about it readers, gray or no gray? What is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
It is a gloomy Monday. We are all starting a new week. Monday is not my favorite day.
I am here to make your Monday a little brighter with some Olyphantnews. Monday is the only day Mr. Olyphant has off while doing his play. His Monday is probably a little brighter than ours.
Great Offers on the Entire StoreTimothy and Kenneth Lonergan, the writer of “Hold On To Me Darling”, appeared on AOL Build. They talked about the play and answered a few questions from the audience. The host seemed a bit smitten with Mr. Olyphant. She thanked him for stripping down to his boxer shorts onstage. She even went as far as suggesting he could strip down even further. Olyphant didn’t take the bait. He wasn’t his usual flirty self. He seemed a little tired. Check out these items and get Free Shipping!
The film features an ensemble cast and follows several storylines. It is directed by Garry Marshallwho also directed “New Year’s Eve” and “Valentine’s Day”. Find out about Free Ball. Enjoy the trailer!
Even though I find “The Grinder” a ridiculous show, Olyphantis hilarious playing an exaggerated version of himself. He has great comic timing unlike Rob Lowe, who is just over the top most of the time.
Whether you like the show or not, it is worth a watch to see Olyphant flex his comedy muscles. Sorry ladies, he didn’t rip his shirt off this episode. Such a shame!
Timothy will play Strings McCrane, a famous country and western singer. McCrane’s mother dies which causes him to question the meaning of his life. He moves back to his hometown in an effort to abandon his celebrity and career. Things do not go well.
Olyphant had read only a few pages of the script when he told his wife “I am going to want to do this.”
His wife’s reply, “Finish the play.”
Olyphant insisted, “I am telling you right now. I am going to want to do this.”
” My wife and kids — I owe them a big thanks for letting me come do this,” he added. “It’s completely selfish, believe me, and I’m going to try to enjoy every second of it.”
Timhas even began taking guitar classes so he can sound authentic onstage. He had this to say about his musical ability. “Whenever I try to do something musical it’s more or less funny. I’m just going to assume the audience is forgiving.”
When asked why he decided to return to the stage he replied, “I personally came back to the theater for the obvious reason – the money.” he joked. “I think everyone can understand that. Everyone knows I’ve got to make a living.”
Olyphant’s co-stars include Adelaide Clemens, Jonathan Hogan, Jenn Lyon, Keith Nobbs and C.J. Wilson. Performances will begin February 24 at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater. The production is directed by Neil Pepe. It officially opens on March 14th and runs through April 3rd. Check Out These Great Timothy Olyphant Movies!
I can’t help but wonder will I be missing Olyphant singing? Will he take his shirt off yet again? After all he displayed full frontal nudity in his first play, “The Monogamist”. I am sure theater goers will be in for a treat no matter the details.
All you lucky people who will be able to attend keep us informed!
