Hello fellow Olyphant fans! It is nearing the weekend so I am getting happier every day. The weather is hot and dry here. A good time to stay inside and do a little Timothy viewing.
I have been hearing a little Emmy buzz coming Tim’s way. Some bloggers are putting his name out there for “Santa Clarita Diet”. One mentioned his talent for physical comedy. So maybe he will be acknowledged this year. We can hope.
Since it is a slow Olyphant summer let’s revisit some of our favorite Olyphant movies for a little summer viewing.
If you haven’t seen his turn as a drug dealer in “Go”, you should give it a look. A young Olyphant makes out with Katie Holmes on a staircase and goes after a woman who cheats him out of some drugs. His performance is both amusing and menacing at the same time.
“A Perfect Getaway” is another of my personal favorites. Two couples vacationing in Hawaii. One couple is the Honeymoon Killers. But which one? Beautiful scenery and lots of intrigue. Great for a lazy afternoon of viewing.
If you are in the mood for a little horror, check out “The Crazies”. Olyphant plays a small town sheriff faced with the horror of his citizens becoming psychopaths. When the government moves in troops how will he save himself and his pregnant wife from being terminated to contain the virus.
If none of those appeal to you maybe a binge watch session of our favorite marshal Raylan Givens is more to your liking. “Justified” is available for streaming on Amazon. Five seasons is a lot of great binge watching.
Well I have convinced myself to revisit some of my old favorites this weekend. Anyone want to join me? Happy Timothy Olyphant viewing!
There are many great things in May. We recently celebrated Mother’s Day. I sent my Mom a dozen roses. She was very surprised because she doesn’t often get flowers. I love that there is a day set aside to say thanks Mom for being there for me.
May is also the month of another great event, Timothy Olyphant’s birthday. Olyphant’s birthday is May 20th. He will be turning 49. One more year before he hits the big 50.
Tim has had a busy year. His Netflix series “Santa Clarita Diet” premiered on Netflix early this year. It has been renewed for a second season. He is also slated to appear in the movie “Driven” about the FBI’s sting on car maker John Delorean.
Hello fellow Timothy Olyphant fans! It is a gorgeous almost spring day here. The time change has hit me hard. I hope everyone is adjusting to it better than myself. Losing an hour just plays havoc with my sleep clock.
Mr. Olyphant has been a busy fellow lately. His new show “Santa Clarita Diet” is currently streaming on Netflix. He is also scheduled to play a rather unsavory character in the movie “Beef”.
Timothy is a huge sports fan so it was no surprise when he turned up on the Rich Eisner show. Olyphanthelped Eisner fill out a NCAA basketball tournament bracket. Eisner has a bet with his crew. If Olyphant’s picks win the crew shows up for work dressed as clowns.
The crew lobbied for a guest appearance on “Santa Clarita Diet” if they win. Tim seemed reluctant to go along with the idea. Check out the whole exchange in the video below.
Timothy has been very busy of late. He is starring in a new series “Santa Clarita Diet” on Netflix TV. Reviews have been mostly positive so it looks good for a second season.
He is also going to take a turn as a villain in the upcoming movie “Beef” Olyphant plays the head of a brutal crime syndicate who is after a fast food restaurant manager who has lost a bet. Sounds interesting.
I hope everyone is enjoying the new series. If you haven’t watched it check it out!
I will admit it doesn’t sound like the kind of show I would normally watch, but if Olyphantthinks it is worthy of his talent, I will give it a look. Olyphant stars as Joel, one half of a husband and wife realtor team. Drew Barrymore plays his wife Sheila.
It seems Sheila dies and then returns as a zombie cannibal. Doesn’t sound like the basis for a comedy, right? Even so some reviewers say the show is hilarious.
I apologize for getting behind on the blog. I have had a terrible time the last two weeks. We lost our beloved dog of eleven years, Peanut. Peanut came to us because she had a bad overbite and the breeder couldn’t sell her. The breeder happens to be the wife of a co-worker and she brought Peanut in one day in an effort to find her a home. I took one look at her and fell in love. She came home with me that day and she has been with me ever since. She died of heart failure on April 14th. Life is lonelier without her.
Olyphanthas been promoting his new film “Mother’s Day”. The film opens on Friday, April 29th. Tim plays Jennifer Aniston’s ex. He is remarried to a much younger woman played by Shay Mitchell. The films looks to be very entertaining. Great movie to share with Mom for Mother’s Day!
Tim has appeared on The Tonight Show and Today promoting “Mother’s Day”. He was scheduled to appear on Seth Meyersbut in a strange twist of fate, Meyers wife went into labor on the way to see “Hold On To Me Darling” and Tim’s appearance had to be cancelled.
I have some great news for my fellow Timothy Olyphant fans! Tim has signedon to a new series.
“Santa Clarita Diet” will starTimothy Olyphantand Drew Barrymore. The duo will
play husband and wife realtors. The two live slightly disconnected lives
until the wife undergoes a dramatic change which sends their lives down a
path of death and destruction … but in a good way.
Sounds intriguing right? I am thinking a black comedy. The show will
feature a single camera style.
Drew Barrymore andOlyphant will also serve as executive producers. Victor Fresco, series creator, will also be an executive producer.
Netflix VP or original content, Cindy Holland, had this to say, “Thegenius casting of Timothy and Drew combined with Victor’s unique comedicsensibility will delight, and definitely surprise, our members around the world.”
The show will appear on Netflix as a Netflix original series. It will
premiere in 2017.
If you haven’t got your Netflix subscription, you better get get to it!
Here’s hoping “Santa Clarita Diet’ is another great series for Olyphant.
